Want to buy registered version BUT...

Post by Jerry 159 » 18 Apr 2010, 09:54

Yani,
I want to buy the registered version of your great software.

But before buying I want know if SERVICE RESET for 159 will be available in future versions?
Otherwise I`m buying a service reset tool.

Please advice,

Jerry

Hi,

Service Inerval Reset for Alfa 159 and also for Fiat Croma'05 (I saw someone else asking for it) are already implemented in version 2.2.
This version, however, will be available after 15-20 days.

I'm 100% certain the service interval is ELM 327 / CAN interface only.
fap (I'm assuming you mean DPF Filter regeneration) is on KKL and CAN I believe.

Till manufacturers harmonize on a common protocol/interface them I think both ELM/CAN and KKL interfaces will be required if you want to cover general engine OBD (CAN or KKL), CAN specific (e.g. service reset, aircon, satnav....) and KKL for ABS and Airbag systems.

I suggest you identify what your major need is and initially buy appropriately.

Simple KKL will cover most engine, airbag and EBS systems but will certainly NOT cover service interval resets on modern Fiats.

Hi,

I don't think that you need a software to reset it on Multipla:
Proceed as follows to reset service:
- turn panel on
- press the "MODE" button on the instrument cluster until the word MENU appears on the multipurpoase screen
- scroll items using the "+" and "-" until "MANUT. PROGR." appears on the screen
- press the "MODE" button again, "MANUT. PROGR. + TYRE PRESSURE" will appear on the screen
- identify item "MANUT. TRA" using the "+" and "-" keys
- press the "+" and "-" keys simultaneously for 20 seconds until "2000 Km" appears"
- turn of the panel;

no, it is not full reset. in multipla with dpf after oil change is nessesary to reset interval by examiner. if you don't do this oil pressure lamp will blink after one minute after turn on engine. after next minute this lamp stop blinking but in service manual I read that i need go to service.
