FESmobile demo RELEASED!!! - Windows Mobile version

Post by yani » 03 May 2011, 20:08

Hi,

I released a demo of the Windows Mobile application - FESmobile.
It works with bluetooth ELM 327 or OBDKey interfaces.
Tested on Windows Mobile 6, Windows Mobile 6.1 and Windows Mobile 6.5.
Tested devices: Samsung Omnia, Asus P320

The demo is fully functional with limited list of control modules.

Please report your devices and problems in this section.

So far the application doesn't look well on VGA devices. I will release an update with VGA support soon.

Yani

I released FESmobile 1.0.1 today.
It should fix the crashing problem (when you click Connect) on VGA devices.
You have to uninstall the old version before installing the new one.

Just click "Settings" and change the "Font Size" to a lower value. It has options 1,2,3,4...

Tested on old HTC TyTN. Works perfectly!!
I have noticed that when you connect to Engine, real-time reading of sensors is very slow, and you can not choose separate sensors.
I suppose this will be possible in next, full version?

You can select individual parameters by pressing on the parameter and holding for a second (without moving). The parameter turns ON and its background changes to yellow.
Alternatively you can select/unselect ALL parameters at once by using the buttons (with checked/uncecked image) on bottom of screen.
You can also move all selected parameters on top of the list (and screen) by using the button (with upper arrow image) on bottom of the screen.

Tried this and it works OK.
Also, when fewer parameters are selected, refresh speed is much better (I suppose this is because of the speed limit on COM ports)
When we can expect full/registered version with all cars/modules?
