Multiecuscan

I have a 2103 Abarth and would like to update my display to a tft. Does it matter what year or model display I buy from ebay? I have been reading and it seems to me I could buy any display and just change the settings during a proxy alignment using multiescan and get the Abarth display and options. Is this true? Will the opening splash screen be wrong if I buy a cluster from a pop?
