Fiat Panda 4x4 1.2 2007 ECU - ABS no connection help please!

I changed the clutch on my fiat panda 4x4 1.2 2007, removing and reinstalling the same gearbox to do so, and now there is a code U1706 No Connection between ECU and ABS Module. Im totally lost on how to proceed. Ive checked and rechecked every physical connection and earth etc possible. My dad wonders if the problem is because before the driveshafts were reinstalled we ran it on the axle stands to see if the lobes turned and selected gear (long story but basically we didnt know if the gearbox had been knackered by a bolt getting caught in the clutch arm having fallen off the clutch plate, fitted by a garage hence why we did it ourselves this time) he wonders if we have broken/confused the ECU somehow.

Is there a way to reset or somehow realign the ECU so that it communicates with the ABS Module please? Just pretty lost here

Has anyone tried using Multiecuscan software to diagnose and modify the engine control unit of a Fiat 500 for enhanced performance, such as increasing horsepower or improving fuel efficiency? If so, what were the results and any potential risks involved?

Has anyone successfully replaced the Body Control Module (BCM) in a Fiat 500 using Multieceuscan software? I'm curious if it's possible to perform this replacement without any complications or compatibility issues.
