Ducato Cruise Control

Post by DavidLee » 14 Jun 2023, 20:49

Working through getting cruise control working on my 2014 Fiat Ducato. Added 2 wire canbus stalk and updated proxi.
Cruise control all working and displaying in muiltfunction display but the green steering wheel symbol is not light even though it looks like it is there.
Anyone experienced this ?
Could it be a cluster problem or do I need to tweak the proxy further.
This is what I have programmed

30 38 32 35 30 31 37 31 31 36 30 4F 55 54 50 55 54 44 4A 49 54 20 13 05 07 4B 00 00 04 00 00 00 00 09 00 00 04 00 00 00 00 50 00 13 08 20 40 00 01 A0 00 00 26 00 00 00 0C 06 01 02 00 00 02 00 00 05 00 05 04 00 00 00 00 31 00 00 00 00 11 00 42 01 11 32 00 FF 00 05 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 1F 00 00 00 00 00 02 FF

are you sure there is LED for indicator? maybe there is just symbol but nothing behind it to illuminate it.

Thanks for response. Was hoping to avoid stripping the cluster just to look. I find it highly unlikely that Fiat would produce a different cluster pcb for vehicles with different options.

check under in MES under cluster actuations if there is way to turn on cruise light or do full cluster test - usually that illuminates whole cluster.

Tried that but still no light. On full cluster check there are other lights missing. I would still be surprised if Fiat leave bits out dependent on the options ordered hence feel that the cluster must be programmable.

Would like to strip cluster but reluctant incase I damage it. Going to approach a few cluster repairers and try and get some info from them.
