Multiecuscan 2.2 RELEASED!

Post by yani » 09 May 2010, 17:12

Hi,

I just released version 2.2.
I added support for the following modules:
- Delphi/Marelli Body Computer (Punto MK2)
- Marelli Instrument Panel (Punto MK2)
- Visteon Instrument Panel (Stilo)
- Delphi Electric Steering (non-CAN, Ypsilon, Panda)
- Bosch ME3.1 EOBD (2.0, 2.4, 3.0 V6)
- Valeo parking control
- TRW MY 03 Airbag (CAN)
- Support for the new Fiat Bravo 2007
- Service Interval Reset for Alfa 159/Brera, Fiat Bravo/Croma/Linea, Lancia Delta
- Injector coding for JTD engines.

I added a test for the ELM 327 interfaces in the Settings window. See How To Use sections for info on this feature.
I also fixed a few bugs.

Another difference from v2.1 is that the FREE users can now see and connect to all available modules, but they will be able to see only the Info Screen for modules that are not free. Also, the FREE users can connect to any module in simulation mode using CTRL-F10 and explore its functions.

You will need to uninstall version 2.1 before installing 2.2.

NOTE: I updated the "How To Use" section of the site.

Regards,
Yani

Just tried but CTRL-F10 on CAN modules won't work...
I tried delphi electric steering of punto '03 1.2 8v and body computer. It says "Connection Failed - You need ELM 327 interface to connect to this module." :?

You just need to configure proper cable in the Settings window. Go there and change your interface to ELM 327 (you don't need to actually have ELM interface, just change the settings), and CTRL-F10 will work.

First thanks for the new release... it is getting better and better ;)

But I have 2 questions regarding those two features.

Why is injector coding not available on EDC16 CF3? I looked at EDC16C39 CF4 and EDC15C7 and both have "Adjustments" sections available. But on EDC16 CF3 (first generation multi-jet JTD 16V engines) this section is not available. My car uses that ECU and I would love to have this option available.

Second question, does the ELM 327 interface needs to be connected to the car if you want to perform the ELM 327 test?
I read the how-to section and you say that we can try changing the speed of the port, but it makes no change, it allways timeouts.

1. Missing Injector coding for EDC16/CF3 is a mistake. I will release version 2.2.1 in a few days with this addidion.
2. It depends on the interface. Some ELM interfaces require power from the OBD connector to work, others don't.

I tried the ELM cable Test today with interface plugged into the car... and it works like a charm :)

But I discovered another minor bug that is present in 2.2 and I never noticed it earlier versions. When I connect to the EDC16 CF3 (my car is Alfa 147 1.9 JTD 16V) I get "Invalid ISO code" error. Also the ECU programming date is messed up (something like 33/3/3036). Everything else works OK.

Anyway keep up the good work! ;)
