Error Code U1722 Alfa 159

Hi All, Got a weird issue with my 57 159 Sports Wagon 2.4l.
Keep getting a gearbox warning codes are as follows:
U1722 Gearbox - CAN Line - Connect with gearbox selector (NCS) signal not valid, test complete or not applicable, Present, Not Requested.
There is another code that shows on other modules, that might be related??
U1602 - CAN Line error, Bus OFF, Intermittent.
Seems to be getting more common now. Any help/advice is greatly received.
