Throttle position

Post by GalA » 16 Feb 2021, 16:30

Hi all,
The throttle position parameter (%) stuck on 0 all the time. With an other scan program (absolute throttle position) I got 12% on idle.
Throttle position (Track 1 /2) are the same and are on ±3 deg. when idle, and increase to 83 when the throttle is wide open.
I dont get any engine codes.

It will be nice if Someone can give me a quick explanation about the Track 1 and 2 parameters.

Thank,

Ill try to be more specific:
Are the track 1 and 2 parameters (the parameters that I mentioned above) are the throttle potentiometer values converted to deg (or percentage)? If they are, then its enough for diagnosis.
Ill be happy if Someone can clarify it for me, because Im not sure.

Thanks!

Interesting:

The parameters table says unity in deg. (degrees). However the Information/Help area states: "This item displays the percentage value of the motorised throttle signal track 1."

Would suggest you connect to the car are operate the throttle pedal and come to a conclusion.

I Indeed connected to the car, and Indeed the deg. Track 1 and 2 parameter changed with my foot on the gas pedal. But, Im not sure if these parameters are from the throttle potentiometer, which is good if they do because this what I need in order to diagnos if my throttle plate is OK. The help information is confusing... Its says motorised. The motorised word got me thinking that maybe these parameters are from the motor, and they measure the motor command to the throttle plate but not the the throttle plate itself. I hope that Im understandable.
Indeed the degree/percentage is confusing, but I can go with that one lol
