Tablet compatibility

Post by Talkingwhippet » 03 Feb 2021, 10:00

Hi.
Can anyone tell me if MES will run on a Linx 1010 tablet? Says CPU speed is 1.44GHx with burst up to 1.8 GHz - whatever that means.
MES specs say 1.5 GHz or better.
I've got one knocking about the house and would be ideal for use in the car I thought.
Many thanks,
David

I use MES on a Clevo S210TU Tablet

Intel Celeron N2806, 1.6GHz, 1MB L2 cache and 32GB of Memory (shared with video)

A point you should look at is what type of USB port you have. I only have the one "USB To Go" mini USB port which required a USB To Go cable. ALSO these USB To Go ports have very limited power. Mine worked OK with an ELM interface but when I switched to an OBDLink one I need to add a powered hub.

Apart from the USB port type and power capabilities I've not had any issues.

I would add that all my vehicle testing was done with Win 8.1. I've since updated to W10 and MES runs OK but I've not yet tried connecting to my vehicle.

Thanks for the reply - much appreciated. Has a full size USB port.

Looked up Intel's website and its says that the CPU runs up to 1.83GHz, so think I'll give it a try.
