Fiat bravo gear position not showing after proxi alignment

Hello Guys,
Ive carried out proxi alingment on my fiat bravo II automatic, after replacing a faulty airbag module (odometer was blinking)
However after proxi alignment (successful acc. MES) the odometer is still blinking.
But what is even worse is that the gear position indicator on the dashboard display is now missing.
Its really annoying me that by trying to solve the blinking odometer problem (which didn't work for some reason) this new problem occurred.
I really hope someone can tell me how to get this right cause its driving me nuts.
