No not stupid at all. Just with so many vehicle models and variants it is so easy to miss.

The only way one could eradicate vehicle selection (both on the web and in the MES program) would be to have a chassis number (model & type) ability.

MES and other similar programs will have issues as they by definition "chasing the curve". Fiat dealers with their "official kit" and "official support" have a phone number to call to get direct support. Issues found in official software get reported back and eventually corrected. The likes of MES and Alfa OBD will significantly lag behind.

In defence of MES and AlfaOBD .... then we pay very modest fees whereas dealer official kits costs a high initial kit cost and then an annual subscription of £1000 or 1000 Euros or more PER YEAR.

Is your 2011 Ducato actually a Fiat Ducato (type 250) Facelift 2.3 Multijet

If so you need adapter A3 (Service Interval Reset |INFO|ADJ| ELM A3)

A3 is the Yellow cable.

In the mean while I receive all 4 cable. I try the yellow one but no connection to service interval reset.
I also try all other cables but non of them will connect to service interval reset.
What do I wrong ?

I start all over again and the conclusion is that I do not have a Ducato 250 facelift
That one have a Mareli motor ecu and I can not connect to that ecu
I have the older 250 with the Bosch ecu and I can connect to that
Problem is that I am not able to connect to the service to do the service interval reset.
Does somebody have a solution ?

Hi !

I also have problem with this (Fiat Ducato 2007 with Bosch engine ECI) , can only connect to the Engine ECI nothing else ... I have a valid ELM327 (Wifi)

I don´t want to put 50 EUR into the trashcan ...

Have you solved the problem ...

I have an USB version and I have decided to buy a new interface.
I get an offer to buy this one but I am not familair with that brand, I know ELM but as what they say this one can do the job

I have check it all over again with my ELM327 and this is how it went :
I could connect to motor and reset service and I could manual regenerate my Doblo cargo 1.9
I can connect to motor of my Ducato type 250 2.3 engine but not to reset service interval and nothing else
I can not connect to Ducato type 250 2.3 engine facelift so I don´t have a facelift

Conclusion is that I have the regular Ducato but can not connect to service but I can connect to motor - service and manual regenerate of the Doblo
That is what annoys me
Who know what the problem is and what I can do about it ?

I have a cheap ELM adapter that works on both of our cars, but won't connect to the Ducato through the adaptor cables. I bought an OBDKey ELM adapter and it works fine.

I Have read that topic and I was thinking maybe that is the problem but it is so strange that I can do everything in the Doblo but in the Ducato I can only connect to the motor
Even if I try other cables.
I already bought the StarDiag from the list http://www.multiecuscan.net/HowToUse.aspx

I bought the Stardiag interface and now I can connect to almost everything, so far my problem is solved
