Wait. You had I connect but not the digital display?

In that case, I'm not sure.

They should.

Well my new tft speedo was from a 2016 model same as what i put it into , the display was from a sport model but once the proxy alignment was done it reverted to a different view which is to do with byte 65 but doesnt account for items missing from menu both strings were the same lenght ?
Two things...you cannot get the menus. They aren't programmed into that cluster. You need to adjust settings through the uconnect stereo or an aftermarket stereo that supports idatalink maestro.

Second, it isn't as simple as changing a byte to get the abarth or 595 sport views. Mine came from a 595 and my display was very cool. I then proxy aligned it and it went to the sport view which is quite bland in comparison. In order to get that old view back, I did a search for someone's proxy code who had that view. I then replaced my proxy code with that one. Yes it is too long. Then I counted out the bytes and deleted all th extra bytes.

Now you can do the proxy alignment and get the other view. Can't stop there though, you'll need to change the options to match what your car has. I purchased alfaobd to do this as alfaobd doesn't require a proxy alignment to make most of the changes.
Care to share the byte list for 595?

Sure. No problem.

Here is the 595 unedited longer one.
Abarth 595 restyled model from 2016:

I'll have to pull my working file later this week. I took the 595 and then deleted the extra length. It was quite a hassle really. But worth it to get the 595 modes.

Hello,

Today we installed a Fiat 500 2018 TFT in the Abarth 500 2008 of a friend and we almost succeed to setup everything we want except a few things.

The TFT was originaly setup to Italian and with default screen layout (Byte 65 = 00).

We successfuly updated odometer with car real km and switched display to Abarth look (Byte 65 = 60).

I understand that it's not possible to restore full list of menus in the TFT to get access to language or date/time settings but we plan to do this later by connecting the uConnect of my 2016 Abarth since it's supposed to work from what I read in this thread. We need to switch to French language and set date & time.

What I don't understand is that even after Proxi Alignment procedure the odometer is still flashing and the SHIFT UP indicator in turbo gauge is always ON. From what I read here it should be ON only when Sport mode is set but it stays ON even when Sport mode is not set.

During Proxy Alignement procedure I noticed that it failed to communicte with car radio and entertainment system (or something like that) but I think it's normal since it's a restyling TFT designed to work with uConnect. BTW the car has an Android car radio system instead of original blue&me.

So, could the odometer flashing issue after proxi alignment be related to the fact that it must be executed with a uConnect connected to the car?

I also thought that it could be a ELM 327 USB interface issue but from what I read on this subject I understand that if my ELM 327 was a faulty one I will be not able to enter in the "CAN Setup / PROXI Alignment Pocedure" menu.

Thanks in advance to help us to resolve this odometer flashing issue ;)

You can alternately use idatalink maestro with an aftermarket stereo and it will imitate the uconnect. You would need to configure the idatalink as a 2015+ car and plug it in. Then change the date, time, and units through the head unit. The odometer will still be flashing at this point because the car computer will be expecting an older stereo.

After you've made your corrections, you would have to remove and re-configure the idatalink as the correct year car. Once you've done that, you should have the odometer stop flashing. You may have to re-do the Proxi alignment to get it to stop flashing.

What I don't understand is that even after Proxi Alignment procedure the odometer is still flashing and the SHIFT UP indicator in turbo gauge is always ON. From what I read here it should be ON only when Sport mode is set but it stays ON even when Sport mode is not set.
I don't know about the turbo gauge. I don't have an abarth.

No, the odometer will flash if the original equipment is not in the vehicle...or something that imitates it like the idatalink.

Sorry, I don't know about the ELM 327. I used the colored ones with the adapter. Had to order them from overseas.

Thanks a lot @frankinstyn ;)

We don't have a idatalink maestro and I don't think it worth it to buy one for a one shot operation. However we have both a uConnect unit from my 2016 Abarth and the old Blue & Me unit of my friend car. So we will try firt to change language and date/time wit uConnect and then to execute proxu alignement with Blue & Me connected to fix the odometer flashing issue.

Do you think it will work?

Yup. That should do it.

I just liked the idatalink because it gave me steering wheel controls and engine gauges in my stereo display.

I confirm it works fine to change settings of post-restyling TFT (2018) in a 2008 Abarth by connecting a uConnect head unit ;)

We connected it directly on OBD, based on information from @alex-et3 on this message: http://forum.multiecuscan.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5151&start=20#p18241

Final step will be to re-align proxi with Blue & Me connected to get rid of flashing odometer ;)
