I tried to connect to my 2003 1.1 Fiat Panda with ELM327 1.5a with no success with MultiEcuScan 3.4 Free.It says : Connection failed. This operation has timed out. I always get this error message. To check if the HW is ok I connected to the car with ScanMaster ELM (got on the CD with the ELM). And with that the comm is ok, getting data back. My port is Com3, baudrate is set to 38400. I understand that the car cannot be connected through CAN but trough dedicated K-Lines to each ECU (ABS, Airbag, Body, Engine Controller, etc.). Is it possible that the Free version of the MES does not support the ECU I have in the car? It does not matter which of the two I select in MES, I get the response above back: Magneti Marelli IAW 4AF/4EF/59F/5AF EOBD Injection or ......Injection (Outside EU).
Could you please explain how to connect with MES? I was sure that it is obvious and do not see where I mistaken.
The HW is from ebay, the K-line is the "default", so it is the engine, I think.
