Odometer Reading

Post by jmorrison » 19 Oct 2012, 12:59

Can anyone help me? I would like to find a tool/software that can easily read a vehicles odometer. Just looking to read nothing else. I'm hoping to do it using the vehicles OBD port. I've been looking at the ELM 327 but not sure if this will serve the purpose. Thanks to anyone willing to help.

If your vehicle is a Fiat/Lancia/Alpha then MultiECUScan can do this if your model is supported.

To the best of my knowledge industry standard EOBD specification does not support the reading and display of odometer data. This means the this function become a manufacturer specific function and will thus require the appropriate / manufactuer specific kit.

s130 is right!
to read odometer on all brand you need separate diagnostics tool kit...
