ELM327-USB V3.0

Post by kris » 12 Oct 2011, 15:26

I have bought an ELM327-USB V3.0 like in the pictures below:

But i have connection problems. I dont think that removing resistant R04 or the solution of yani will work, because the board is different. On the faulty interface thread i saw more users with this problem, but no one gave a sollution ?

Anyone managed to get it work ???

What kind of problems do you have?
What car are you trying to connect to?

Did you try the "Test" function in Settings? What are the results?
If the test is ok, then you probably need to remove the resistor. It may not be R04 on your board. Just follow the CAN wires (the 2 wires that go to pins 6 and 14) and see where on the board there is a resistor between those 2 lines.
Thanks to the genious chinese enginners this "resistor problem" exists in almost every new ELM 327 interface now.

He probably means resistor "R04"! ;)

Hello

The interface in the picture above has no resistance R04
The connection problems are probably some other reason

Basically, because
If there are problems with the resistor R04, the problems are read only in the CAN protocol!

The R04 that connects the CAN data line.

The ECU of vehicles before 2008 will not read in the CAN Protocol ad, so this can make R04 no problems.

The Grande Punto has used CAN since its introduction in 2006, and CAN has been allowed for EOBD engine management diagnostics since 2003.

Hello

You're right, of course at the Grande Punto and Mito I have not thought of.

Greetings Eddy
