Fiat Ecuscan and Win 2000

Post by herby1 » 10 Oct 2011, 18:18

Hi,all!

I want to use Fiat Ecuscan for our Brava 100 16V.Now my Questions: The Requirements are Windows XP or better and a PC wit min.1,5 Ghz.
I use in my garage a Toshiba Tecra Notebook with 600 Mhz and Windows 2000! Thats for my needs completely enough. Can i also use Fiat Ecuscan with this PC or is it possible to get a older Version of Ecuscan thats running on my Hardware! :?:

Thanks and best Regards

No Answer is also a Answer :( I`ve got tested it on my Notebook and it is not running! Connection to ABS and Airbag is proberly running, but Connection to Engine Ecu is not Possible! (Message "Connecting" then "Not Connected" without Error Screen!) Then tested on my Homenotebook (2x2,4Ghz) Connection without Problems! I really want to buy a Lizenz but for me are the Hardware Requirements too hard. My Notebook in the Garage should be an old one, because i`m working there!I must not read ALL Sensors in Real Time. :!: For me its important to read an Error,Repair it,check it and then Clear the Error! For Guys who wants to Play with this it could be important to see all Sensors for their "CarPC" (What a Rubbish) but i think such Software should also run on OLD Hardware because it is usesd in dirty Environment!

Thanks anyway

Sorry you are having problems with Win 2000

As far as I know Multiecuscan is a .NET application and support for .NET in Windows 2000 is limited.

I found this on the net, http://rainstorms.me.uk/blog/2008/03/12 ... dows-2000/ when this person got V3.5 of .NET working on a Win 2K machine. Attempt at your own risk!

Thanks for your reply-but its not a problem with .Net Framework.I´ve got already installed 3.5. The Problem is only that the Prozessorspeed is too slow!
It´s o.k! Now i use Unidiag and its completely sufficient for me!
