a up of this topic. If someone with a GP 1.3MJT with cruise control can send his logs to help up to finish the install :)

A lot of GP 1.3MJT seems to have the connector by default. That will help a lot of personnes!

Thanks

The installation and activation of the aftermarket CC has been done on this Italian forum so it is possible:

I don't speak Italian but I understood that they used a software called "Leonardo" to activate the CC.

I've just tried the new version (3.04) of FES. It seems possible to install the CC by doing a "zeroing" of the engine ECU.
The zeroing works (I see the action on gearbox detection) but the CC is still not recognized.

EDIT: OK, I had not seen that the CC could be activated via proxi alignment. I will try this and give feedback.

What was needed then? Just a CC stalk? Was all the cabling there already?

I described the complete process on this french forum:
http://puntomag.fr/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4986

You need to change the complete switch and I had to add a cable between switch pin 8 and OBD pin 41. The cabling is already there on some cars.

Thank you. Ahh sounds complicated, shame i don't know anyone in the UK who has done it.

Hi Thibag64,

i did the same: i installed the steering column switch and activated the CC. During proxi alignment i get the following failure:

*************************************
WARNING: This vehicle is properly configured. PROXI Alignment is not needed!
EXECUTING ADJUSTMENT...
Cruise control
Old value: Disabled
New value: Enabled
COMPLETED

EXECUTING ADJUSTMENT...
PROXI Alignment Procedure
Writing CAN configuration data ...
Writing to module: Body Computer Node (NBC) SUCCESS!
Writing to module: Dashboard Node (NQS) FAILED! - Request out of range error
Writing to module: Airbag Node (NAB) SUCCESS!
FAILED TO EXECUTE
Request out of range error
*************************************

now CC is working fine, but the CC indicator in the dashboard doesn't work and my odometer value is flashing.
Did this also happen to you?

thx

The CC indicator on the dashboard doesn't work for me either. May be there is a missing cable to add. I didn't get the dashboard flashing. I did also a "zeroing" in the engine module.
