Please read this info about Grande Punto/500/MITO/Punto Evo.

There is a problem with some ELM interfaces and these vehicles. Many people can not connect to the engine ECU.
The problem is completely resolved now and I'm preparing version 2.6.1 and will probably publish it in a few days. It will work properly with all ELM327 interfaces.
There was also a problem with the "Scan" function in version 2.6 which is also resolved in 2.6.1.

There is one more thing to mention about these vehicles. In order to access some modules (like Service Interval Reset) you need a modified ELM327 interface. The two CAN lines which are originally connected on pins 6 and 14 should be moved to pins 1 and 9. DO NOT SHORT pins 1-6 and 9-14.

Hi Yani,

The two CAN lines which are originally connected on pins 6 and 14 should be moved to pins 1 and 9. DO NOT SHORT pins 1-6 and 9-14.
Question: Does this mean, we have to disolder the original Pin 6, solder to new location Pin 1. Then disolder pin14 and solder to pin9?

thanks.

Yes, unfortunately, this is exactly what I mean.
In these vehicles pins 1 and 9 are for the low speed can bus and pins 6 and 14 are for the high speed can bus. You cannot short circuit the low and high speed lines.

We could make a cable between the elm and the diagnostic port with the pin already reversed?
