Hi ! I bought an Alfa 156 a month or so ago with a miss fire, and the engine warning light on (it was cheap and beutiful ?) and after changing injectors and a MAF, I bought a VAG COM lead and downloaded the wonderful multiecuscan software which we tried last night. First a whole load of old faults came up so we cleared the list and ran it all again. Faulty coolant sensor resulted. Sure enough when you wiggle the wires to the sensor it stopped the cooling fan (cold engine) idled better and the engine warning light went off ! RESULT ! So with some rewirin gthe problem will be solved ! So it isnt the CAT or the ECU etc etc etc ... Brilliant ! many thanks Multiecuscan !
