MultiAir ECU reprogramming

Post by Manousos » 28 Jun 2010, 04:10

Take a look at http://www.pattakon.com/pattakonHydro.htm

With a reprofiling of the intake cam-lobes (it needs some 400 crank degrees duration) and a reprogramming of the ECU, the engine can operate either according the current "Ingoing Air Control" mode (MultiAir) or according the new "Outgoing Air Control" mode (PatAir), superior from many viewpoints (consumption, emissions etc).

The reprofiling of the camshaft of the "Alfa Romeo Mito MultiAir 135 PS" is quite simple, easy and cheap.

The problem is the reprogramming of the ECU.
The injection and ignition control and tables remain as they are now.
But the actuation pulses to the solenoid valves (and the relevant tables) have to change a lot.

Any info about the reprogramming of the ECU, or the ECU, may help.

Thank you
