Cam/Crank Sensor Tests

Post by renegadematt » 25 Feb 2024, 21:50

Hi everyone,

I have just bought a 2017 Renegade 1.6 Multijet2 Diesel with a P0016 code. I assume it's probably an issue with the timing belt maybe jumping and the cam/crank pulleys being a tooth or something out, but before I tear down any parts, is there a way to verify the sensors are working okay using MES?

Many thanks!

thanks Fester great write up. I have ordered a crank sensor, cam sensor and trans sensor from euro parts. I hope at least one of these fixes my problem
