USA Stelvio 2019 cannot reset oil change

Post by marcellino » 04 Nov 2023, 01:16

Hello all, I have a registered version of MES, connecting with a high speed OBDLinkSX. Everything is fine and dandy when I go to Service --> Service Interval Reset --> Connect --> Adjustments --> Next Service Reset. When I Execute I press Y I get an error and the oil change doesn't reset.
Anybody point me to where I'm going wrong? Or if there's a patch I need to download?
Thank you!

Check in the engine ECU and not the Service node. If you have a diesel Stelvio then the Oil Change Reset is on the engine ECU Adjustments.

Also note that there are only 9 service coupons by default so after the 9th service the service reset will not work unless to reset the coupons as well.

Hello,
I don't have a the diesel Stelvio (I wish they had them here in the US.. but that's another story)..

Nevertheless, I tried Engine --> Magneti Marelli IAW 10JA CF6/EOBD Injection (2.0) --> Connect --> Adjustments --> Oil Change --> Execute --> wait 60s and nothing changed.

I also went back to the Service --> Interval Reset. I read the Service Coupons and they are 6. Nevertheless I tried changing that to a zero or a two, same error (FAILED TO EXECUTE).

If it can help in any way, I have Multiecuscan 5.1 REGISTERED and OBDLink SX.

Thank you

Being a 2019 Stelvio you probsbly have the "Security Gateway" (SGW) on your car. This blocks all write operations.

See: https://www.alfaobd.com/

If you do an MES SCAN it will list the SGW if it is present.
