Proxy alignment failed because entertainment node removed?

Post by buzzfuzz » 14 Mar 2023, 19:17

Hello Everyone

I have a Ducato 2.3 Multijet 2016 on which i have removed the Gps unit to fit an android 2din unit. Everything works great.... except the mileage flashing..... ==> proxy alignment needed..

I have pluged my OBDLink MX with the yellow cable, launch MES 5.1....... but when i request a proxy alignment, it fails because the "Entertainment Telematic node" is "Removed"

What can I do to get this working without the GPS OEM unit?

I was thinking, may be:
- Put back the OEM GPS unit
- do Proxy Align
- removed all "Gps" parts (GPS Module, navigation, external media port, etc on "not present")
- do another Proxy align to "memories the changed settings")
- remove OEM gps unit and put android unit back
- do a proxy align (hope it works?)

What do you think? In fact the new android unit is a pain in the aXX to remove, if i could find a way to do this proxy alignment without removing the OEM unit, it would be nice

thanks for your help

Does this work?
