No ECU response!?

Post by twinny156 » 11 May 2010, 14:44

Hello! Having annoying issues!

- Installed program fine
- KKL FTDI drivers installed
- Correct COM found by program

= Error message "No ECU response" Car is in MAR ofcourse, key on.

Have tried multiple COMS, latency settings and so on. Grrr..

Car is an Alfa 156 year 2000.

When I plug in the USB KKL Windows 7 recognizes the USB serial but also a mass storage device? Cannot find any drivers for this, are they at all necessary?

Any ideas whos the culprit?

ok, the mass storage device was a card reader, non-related.

tested again today. No success - Checked all fuses all good.

Can my ECU be faulty somehow?

I have the same problem to read the ECU flash by my Audi A4 2.0 TDI DPF -2007, ECU Info Data read OK !!but error read flash-data from ECU. I have installed evoscan on two other computers and never had a problem. However one is no longer working due to a processor failure and the other is no longer mobile due to a laptop case failure.

Solved!

Windows told me that FTDI drivers where installed. This was true, but only Alfadiag told me that it was missing the FTD2XX.dll for the K-line to run.

Installed the earlier driver setup executable. All is now sweet.
