What does engine "Stalled" mean?

Post by EnIgMa » 06 May 2010, 22:22

Hi,
my mother's new panda is "died" today...and i don't know why..

I did some check with multiecuscan and everything seems ok, no ecu errors neither abs ecu errors. Did some actuators tests and everything is ok.
I'm just in doubt on one thing.

When i checked the engine status (i think), the response was: Stalled
I read the description and it says that engine could be: Off, Stalled and i think Running.

what does stalled mean?
does it simply mean not running? or it's forced to not running?
If forced, what could it be?

Because on dashboard appears a lot of warning messages and lights flicker but only when battery voltage is low; so i unplagged the stock battery and used one of mine 95Ah 900A (i think it's enough :D )
With new battery I got no more warning messages but car doesn't start; when i turn the key the cranking motor try to move without success and all lights in the car turned off like it has no power at all.
Even bridged to another car it won't start...

what else could i check?

thanks

I would check the main ground wire between battery, chassis and engine.
