AIRBAG TYPE CODES

Hi,

I finally found a description for most of the Airbag type codes. Here is what I have:
2F - 2 Front airbags
2L - 2 Side airbags
2T - Curtain airbags
2P - Seat Belt Pretensioners (driver + passenger)
I - Switch to disable the passenger Airbag
S - Front Seat Passenger detection system

So, if the name of your airbag ECU has "2F-2P-I", it means that it has capabilities for 2 front airbags, 2 pretensioners and a switch to exclude passenger airbag.
Also, have in mind that these are the capabilities of the ECU. You may have only a driver airbag although the ECU supports 2 front airbags.

You must open ECU, unsolder motorola processor and reprogramming data with motorola programmer. For example X-Progm programmer or another. :)

I have such a small question. Previously it did not pay attention

But how scan the system their airbags : Fiat Brava 1.2 2000 years of production is FES showed this:

Breed MY Airbag 97 (2F-2P-2L)
ISO code 26 86 8C 98 25
I have a car that is: 2 front, 2 side and Seat Belt Pretensioners
All ok but I have only two front airbags and belt tensioners? (2F- 2P) I' dont have side airbags ????

why the system shows different???

I understand that you have web site which is mainly selling auto diagnostics equipment.
Also do understand that you are advertising your web...
But there is no point to advertise auto diagnostics equipment for VW.
This web site is mainly for Italian cars so there is no need to promote VW cars and goods.
Thanks for understanding!

So basically the only way to clear the memory from the RCM and turn the airbag light off is to have an expensive diagnostics code reader and plug it in, or know someone who has one?

Only way I am able to acces airbag codes is with our solus ultra snap on scanner and even then I can view data and faults but not the code.
