TPMS & Flashing odometer after replacing TFT

Post by fiatguy88 » 25 Nov 2020, 00:27

Hello and thank you for the help in advance.

I have a 2017 Fiat 500 Abarth (North American) and replaced the original TFT cluster with one from a 2017 595 in Europe. (Part number 07356692310)

I was able to set it up and get it working, but the TPMS system does not show the tire pressures in the TFT cluster and the odometer is flashing.

I am not sure if I should use the can/proxi alignment menu for the 2014+ model or US with Uconnect models only.

I would just like to get the TPMS working and the flashing odometer to stay steady.

Also, this is the current list that is running;

30 4F 55 54 50 55 54 44 4A 49

Voi americani dovete montare i tft americani.

The tft odometers for Europe are different from those for America.
Change the internal software, it's not a question of proxy.
In fact, in the internal file there is NAFTA written unlike the European ones which is written EU.
We in Europe do not have pneumatic sensors, but the puncture is detected indirectly via abs.
You Americans have to assemble the American tft.

I also notice when I press my rear window defroster button there is no indication on the EU TFT cluster.

So you are saying I will not be able to use the EU TFT properly?

I don't see why the cluster will not just display the TPMS values it's being sent via the modules. I understand how it's different in the EU, but in the end it's just a screen displaying the tire pressure values.

no, it's a computer ... with its software inside...and if the software doesn't have that function, it will never show it. and in fact, the European software is different from the American one.

There is someone on here that has a EU TFT working in a North American car. Let me see if I can get his attention.

think that I will have 7 or 8 American tft .... I have taken them over the years to recover the displays, which sometimes break.

Hi guys. I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner.

I do have a EU cluster working in my car but I did things a little differently. I do not have the tire pressures showing in the cluster. I instead read those through my stereo display (2-din 6.8" screen) using iDatalink Maestro to send the information to it.

The tire pressure warning still shows on the display when a tire gets low as an alarm in the center of the cluster. Other than that alarm, no tire pressure information is shown.

I also do not get an indicator of the rear window defrost showing. I actually didn't notice this until just now...I ran out and checked. I keep my fiat parked in a garage at night so I never have to use the rear defrost. You may be able to turn on the rear defrost alert in the cluster with AlfaObd. I ended up using a combination of AlfaObd and Multiecuscan to get all my features working in my car.

Cluster booted, normal mode, sorry, I forgot to get the graphic up of the fiat. That is the default mode but is goes away momentarily when a notice comes up. The edo index gauge does not function. It did function before I did the alignment which means I need to do some more research to enable it. The headlight adjustment is a EU only thing so it doesn't work here.
