Newbie: I can scan and delete DTC's but not connect to modules

Post by MarkC1970 » 15 Nov 2020, 11:21

I have just got a set of cables of a reputable eBay seller but I have never used Multiecuscan before so I might be making a silly error.

I installed the drivers and set the latency timer to 1ms as per the instructions. In Multiecuscan it sees the adapter and the test button reports a success. I can scan for DTC's and also clear them but if I try to (F10) connect it reports a communicatiopns error.

I am selecting a Fiat Ducato X250 2.2 (pre facelift) but my vehicle is badged a Citroen Relay. I know the Citroen/Peugeot vans use a Ford 2.2 engine that Fiat didn't fit and so the engine ECU is different but I have been told everything else is the same. That ties in with the DTC scan reporting Engine ECU unsupported ISO code 75 07 8F 0D 6D. All the other modules report their names and ISO codes with no errors but, like I say, they will not connect.

Any ideas? Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks...
