Compression pressure testing possible via Multiecuscan?

Post by Didisuno » 23 Apr 2020, 09:58

Hello,
does any of you know whether Multiecuscan supports it so that you can read out the starter current or the starter speed of the individual cylinders and thus conclude the compression?
Where do I have to look here?
I wanted to do that on a 159 TBi.
Thanks a lot.

Not as a specific function.

MES can measure and graph RPM and air flow so you could use these as a rough guide during a "cranking" test.

CAUTION! Cranking tests must ensure that the spark plugs are properly connected and able to spark in open air otherwise you can damage your ECU/coil packs. Tests should be as short as possible because the injectors will still pump fuel into the cylinders. Pure un burnt fuel is not good for the catalytic converter so short test and leave time between each cylinder test to allow the fuel to evaporate.
