Alfa Romeo Giulia Proxi Alignment

Post by Giulia_Fan » 26 Feb 2020, 12:59

I have currently a "genuine" ELM 327 Wifi adapter. It works fine with the latest MES 4.5 for all other purposes with Alfa Romeo Giulia than for Proxi Alignment.

Could someone provide me a link to a OBD2 adapter, which is known to work fine with Giulia Proxi Alignment procedure? I know that CANtieCar works fine, but I'm looking for more cost-effective alternative, since I only need to do this once (Race-mode retrofit).

Just a thought.

On the Fiat 500X I had a problem with Proxi and ELM cable. This turned out to be due to the ELM connection speed. Like you everything else worked fine. I tested with Yani and he changed MES code to switch automatically switch from 38400 to 115200 for the 500X/Renegade on Proxi. This was back in 2017. The issue was related to buffering.

It could be that your Giulia also requires the 115200 speed. You can try this to begin with.

OBDLink works fine on my 500X and not OBDLink is my default connection unit.

to do proxi alignment you need wired adapter, wifi adapters won't work.
