KKl cable: test interface failure

Hello
I’m using a VagCom/KKL cable on an Alfa Romeo Spider 916 with multiecuscan 4.0.
When I try to test the connection in Multiecuscan preferences box, I get the following error : External component has thrown an exception.
Any idea of the root cause?
