Bulb failure management

Post by AleMiToJTD » 03 Feb 2019, 01:08

Hi, does anybody know if it is possible to disable the bulb failure check and warning on an Alfa MiTo?

Normally I’d say no, but consider that the rear lights on the MiTo are LEDs, yet the computer does not trigger any fault message because it was somehow programmed like that.

So I wonder if is it possible to disable bulb checking on other lights, like the blinkers for example.

Thanks

MES can not do this.

You only options are:

1) Find some other product / agent that can do body computer function remapping

2) Use LED bulbs with integral load resistors - warning heat dissipated will go directly into the bulb metal connection bases and not into the bulb overall bulb glass enclosure to be dissipated into the surrounding air

3) Use metal dummy load external resistors wired into each of the feed lines
