High sampling time - Punto mk2 ECU

Post by kido.resuri » 15 Jan 2019, 19:53

Hello,

I'm experiencing high sampling time when reading (and recording) parameters from the ECU of my Punto mk2 1.2 16V.
I'm trying to read out live data for troubleshooting, but data is collected only every 2-3 seconds or more if I select a number of paramters. I'm using an ELM327 1.4, capable of High speed mode according to the Interface Test.

Is this normal behavior? Is it because of the ELM327 limits, or Multiecuscan drawing the graphs, or my slow laptop maybe? Or is this the ECU's limit? I'm using a Toshiba with i5-520m CPU, 2 GB RAM, no high CPU/memory usage is noticed when using MES.
Would it be faster if I would use the multiplexed version?

Any ideas? I'd pleased also if anyone would share usage experience about reading live parameters, what is the normal delay between two data readout.
