Failed to connect to Body Computer

Post by ThreshNL » 12 Sep 2018, 13:38

Hi all,

I'm trying to connect with my Fiat Grande Punto T-Jet (2008) in order to activate cruise control. However, i can't connect to the car. All the COM ports are fully functional but i still get the message "Failed to connect to Body Computer" when i try to connect. What am i doing wrong?

Usually if you can connect to the engine but not other modules, than your ELM has bad termination resistor on CAN line. After removing (and even better: adding proper termination), it should work.

Only if you have FTDI USB IC in it and PIC microcontroller.
Cheap fake chinese clones are totally useless.
