Fiat 500 issues connecting

Hi all,
I have a 2013 Fiat 500 which I am trying to connect to with a modified ELM with and without the Yellow adapter and keep getting errors saying it cannot connect.
When I try to connect I get a airbag failure come up on the dash.
Am I doing something wrong?
