Try this driver:

Do you have a hardware COM port on your laptop?

I ordered a new 32 ft 16 pin extension lead, and the green lead for ABS on multiecuscan.

What lead do i need to connect this to the USB on my laptop.

I,m assuming its a replacement KKLVAG COM lead.

Is this ok,

USB Cable OBD2 II OBD KKL VAG-COM 409.1

Thanks

Tim

I have fitted a new extension lead
a new KKLVAG COM lead, and a new green ABS lead adaptor.

And successfully linked my PC tower, running WIN 7 and MECUSCAN to my car, great.

But despite trying every driver I can find, I cannot link with the same equipment and OS on my
laptops. I running WIN Vista, and 1 running WIN 7.

I would strongly consider buying the full Multi ecuscan package, but I,m afraid I might be left with an ornament
if my laptops have issues with it for live data info in the car.

My 2 laptops have issues with the drivers that I cant resolve.

If I were you I would focus on your Win 7 laptop and Win 7 desktop and ignore your Vista laptop as that is only going to confuse and distract the situation.

In theory the Win 7 driver on your desktop machine should work on your Win 7 laptop as far as basic OS and USB is concerned. So whatever driver you have on the desktop put it on the laptop and ensure that the current laptop driver is uninstalled and deleted (but ensure you have the source). If you don't uninstall and delete the current laptop driver then Win may decide to install/update over the desktop driver.

Once both machines have the same driver install then go into Device Manager and compare the systems each with the KKL interface connected.

If they are all looking identical you will need to look in more detail at the interface settings in MES.

Also check for any latency issue messages on the laptop when running MES as these can sometimes cause big problems.

Managed to get a Win & laptop working with Multiecuscan using this driver ,

downloads/CH34x_Install_Windows_v3_4.zip
From https://sparks.gogo.co.nz

Works fine now, after trying many drivers.

What interface should I be using for working with a tablet and MMultiecuscan,

Thanks
