Do I need a newer FTDI driver? (latency error)

Post by blackfish » 23 Mar 2010, 22:55

Hi,

Got my KKL cable today. Got it talking to ECU sufficiently to detect a problem (coolant sensor fatal error PO115). However, Multiecuscanner prog keeps flashing the warning "Serial port latency too high!" Snag is, in my device manager, I don't get the tab that lets me adjust latency from the default 16mS. Do I need a different FTDI driver? Current one (came on mini CD with the cable) is 01/02/2002 version 1.0.2101.0

I've installed driver V2.06.00 (from FTDi website). I can now set latency down to 1mS. Off to see if that cured the error message (still got to cure the engine fault though!)

Failed! The latency error is still there, probably worse than with the earlier driver. Any ideas?
