Keys stolen, can I disable a key?

Post by Coupedummy » 13 May 2017, 12:17

Hi guys,

My keys have been stolen for my fiat stilo.
I have a not remote spare, is it possible to disable the remote key with MES in which I can then change the door locks.

Any help appreciated.

If *all* your keys have been stolen then you have a real problem as you will need to get a new virgin (not cloned) key from Fiat to program into the system. This will delete all previous keys. If you have a key left then MES can program that key, deleting the stolen keys, from the system.

Your existing remote can be programmed into the car by MES and this will also delete all other previously programmed remotes, which is what you want.

New locks will solve the mechanical key problem, but if you change the ignition barrel then you will have to transfer the rfid chip from key to key.
