Netbook connection problem

Post by markos7 » 17 Mar 2010, 15:57

Hi

I'm trying connect to ECU from netbook Asus eee pc 1005ha (atom n280, 1GB Ram).
Com port settings are OK, but I Can't connect to ECU.
I tried .NET 2.0 and .NET 3.5 ... and nothing.

Is this possible to using ebook to scan ECU?

I think your notebook should work...

Just one questions, did you install FTDI drivers?

I did.

I tested this circuit by connecting pin 24 to 25 of FT232BL ( External loop Rx-Tx).
Com port works good with Terminal application but doesn't work with ECU scanner

Hi,

Don't blame it on the EEE.
The problem is not in the netbook. I use EEEPC 900HA for testing and it works flawlessly with Multiecuscan.

I have no another netbook / notebook.
Some people has a problem with using a netbook to connect to ECU
Let's try to find solution :)

I think my hardware works good. COM port on usb transmits and receives data.
Maybe Atom processor is the problem in this case?
I turned off any needless applications, but still can't connect to ECU

I thing it should work... One more question did you setup your COM port settings on your laptop?
I mean: "Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager>Port Settings..."
