Alfa 147 - P0133 Issues

Post by AdrianG_e » 29 Mar 2017, 09:57

Hey there,

maybe one of you guys had this issue already and is able to help me.
Since a few months now i have had issues with my lambda sensor and it threw a MIL every 500km or so. I used to simply reset it and done. A couple of weeks ago i got myself multiecuscan and figured out more details.

The most common error is P0133 Lamda 1 signal above catalyser (slow) (Engine temp: 63,8C / 2120rpm / Engine load: 28,5% / Air temp: 17,3C / Throttle angle: 10,89 deg / Bat vol.: 14,315V) and i noticed that the MIL mostly lights up when i drive a long strech of road - specifically 2 roads i frequently drive on.
I've also had P0420 once or twice now, i figured it didnt really incolve the cat itself, but was a side effect of P0133.

My flex-pipe currently has a small leak and i thought about that this might be the issue, but how could a small leak in the exhaust system affect the sensor before it?

Looking forward to help and answers :)

-Adrian
