Did you check the latency settings of the KKL interface drivers? In most cases the unstable connection is caused by high latency.

Hi Yani,, yes I did check latency, sometimes it passes the test, sometimes not. Even when it passes the test I can not connect to the abs/asr 5.3 ecu. i have 2 kkl leads, one has p7 on plug soldered to red lead (see earlier post in this thread) also a switched 4 way kkl lead. I can not connect except sometimes only to the engine ecu, but not every time, on the settings I have. I am also looking at moving MES to another laptop (but it has just switched itself off, so maybe not reliable!) and can not access the tranfer.aspx server. Thank you for any help! david

Yani,, I deactivated it on one laptop, but ca''t reach the licence server. I was ghoing to put it on another laptop, but it keeps switching off. I need to re activate it on the first one, but it does not accept the licence key, even with the hardware key still being the same. Will uninsall and replace work? I do not want to lose the licence! Thank you,,,David

Looking inside my switched vag kkl lead, I note pins 11 and 12 (not used?) have a solder bridge- is this a problem? Also, it can
be n on the other pic, there is a very thin wire between pin 9 and the central row of contacts , is this normal, or could it be a problem? I assume the cetral row of pins on the pin board are just for mechanical joining abd holding it in position in the plastic housig, or am I wrong, and they form part of the circuits? I can't tell as I can't see the back side of it. Any help still more than welcme. Now I have disabled the software, and am having problems getting the activation back, it seems i will never get this sorted out,lol cheers & beers!
