PURPLE ADAPTER # 4

Post by seamaster » 10 Oct 2014, 02:29

Hi,
Anyone has been able to connect to the ecu with the purple adapter for hood module??
I can connect with others two adapters, but the purple one is not able to connect to ECU.
I have an Alfa Spider 2002 CF3.
Any help very much appreciated.
Thanks

Hello Seamaster

I'm surprised even the whole time that none of the many dealers
Purple is offering this adapter?

Or at least offer the green A1 adapter in a new version.

It makes no sense that something software can not what the hardware
is possible.

Hello,

Unfourtenately I do not have purple adapter so I can no tell does it works or not.
But I have one adapter which I made for myself and I call it "all in one adapter". :D
With that one I have tryed to connect to Breras 2010 hood ECU and MES did worked with no problems...

I hope it was helpful...

Thanks for your comments.
I fund another socket by the pump in the object compartment where is located the battery and it seems a old style 3 pin.
There are only two wires attached.
This is strange as my car is 2002 and should connect by pin 13 on the diagnostic socket under the dash.
If any one was able to connect please give me some instructions.
Thanks

Do you have normal 16 pin connector under dashboard?
Can you access other modules via 16 pin connector under dashboard?

Did you try to scan with MES that 3 pin connector near battery (direct or with purple and other adapters)?

@ Eddy

I need "all in one" adapter for AOBD...
When I am doing remote control storage on older cars I need that adapter.

You have done really good job with small switches. Congratulation. :o

Yes,I am able to connect to the 16 pin port under the dashboard with Engine/abs/climate control/Airbag, but not to the Hood Module.
I receive the error NO ECU RESPONSE.
As I said, I fund a 3 pin connector in the battery compartment next to the Hood pump and I do not have a 3 pin connector, but I arranged a temporary one and I got the Hood Module on Scan, but unable to connect.
When I try to connect, Just jump into Main page without any error.
I am in touch with Yani and look like there is a bug in Multiecuscan.
What is weird, this car is a 2002 Model and should connect to the Hood Module via 16 pin port under the dash on pin 13.
My question is, anyone ever connected via 16 pin port to the Hood Module with purple adapter or even the new models has the 3 pin connector by the battery compartment.
Any comment will help.
Thanks

Use only 2 of the 3-wire connector is the normal pattern of Fiat, although I think they could take advantage of the third wire to +12 V.

Now, could explain what is Hood Module/Control?

Hello Walter

That would be possible but the system has then the pin 15 is required for initialization. Now is no longer necessary, but the change was to the
older interface no longer work and new errors bring forth.

:D :D
