Noobie - Adapter 3/Yellow Question

Noobie alert!

Just bought the software and it works great for the engine ECU, already used it to log start-up voltage which shows battery voltage dropping to 8.8v which i think shows the battery is knackered and could be the cause of the starting issues.

However the main reason for getting the EML and software was to try and sort out odd issues with the CAN / Body Control computer controlled things like the lights (which currently) don't work unless you pull out a relay and then they work for a bit.... However i keep getting this message :-

'Connect Adapter 3/Yellow'

a) Does this go between the EML and the car ODB port ?
b) Where is best to get one from ?

If the selected control by this adapter polls
you need to also use this otherwise you can not connect to diesr control

It is the one you have modified ELM Interface
