Fiat Punto 1.2 Airbag connection problems

Post by Kirje » 12 Feb 2010, 17:48

Hi, and greetings from Spain!

I own a Punto 1.2 16v '02, and I'm trying to clear the all-known airbag error. As per instructions, got a cheap KKL cable from ebay, linked pins 3 and 7 (K-Line) and tried with all possible airbag ecus to no avail. I don't get any error messages to shed some light to the problem, it just doesn't connect. Other OBD diagnostics software connect just fine...

Any ideas?

Thank you and best regards!

Tried again with no results. Any idea?
Is there any other software that can clear airbag faults?

Best regards!

Don't connect pin7 with pin3, disconnect K-line from pin7 and then connect to pin3, U can use simple switch e.g. http://www.tme.eu/html/PL/obrotowe-prze ... pelny.html

Hi BAS!

Thanks for the help, but I've tried that too and still not connecting...

What configuration do you use for the COM Port?

Best regards!

Maybe try to update the drivers?

I'm using the same configuration so that can't be the problem. I've downloaded and installed the latest drivers from FTDI, and also tried with the ones bundled with the cable. The cable works with any other software as EasyOBD or Scantool....

If I'm not missing anything, it should work...

Any other idea?

Best regards!
