I have now tried to connect in Win7 and WinXP(in virtualbox) and in both cases I can connect to airbag. There is high latency sign but at least I can connect could high latency be the reason for not connecting at all to the engine module?
EDIT>
I changed settings so no more of high latency alarms. But I still can't access engine module.

I have the same cable as yours, and I can not get him to read any module from the car. No Airbag, no engine ecu, no ESP... nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. The car is Alfa Romeo 147 2001 year. 1.6 TC 16v. Here some pictures with extra resolution

Hello uglyface

This KKL you should be able to connect to the following controls.

Level 7 = Engine ECU
Level 3 = airbag
Step 1/9 = ABS
Stage 12/13 = Xenon

The other controls you can not read with this interface

I think your settings interface and Com port is incorrect
And which driver you installed?
This should be used here.

I install this driver you given to me. Not working. I try some different ports as com port 2 and 5 not working too. I try to change the latency from 16 to 1. But not differents. I use multiecuscan can be this the problem?

What is the current settings for the USB serial port? Do I need to change something else than latency from this picture?http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/usb/FT ... ptions.png

Hello uglyface

This is all right!

Did you even with MES / Settings / Interfaces / VAG kkl set?
And the same COM port as shown in the Control Panel of the PC?

In this panel there is the right of the interface settings, a test button
press this and add the picture of it here.

Ignition on Alfa turned on?
Found on the KKL the switch to the desired position?

Then only the KKL be defective

Yes, when i open the MES go to settings and mark Vagcom kkl, then mark the com port as the one that shows me in control panel. For example (the com port on control panel is - 3, on MES i put com port -3) I can`t make picture now, tomorrow i will. But as far as I remember I recieve this messages when i click to "test" The ignition is ON.

Messages:

DATA ERROR!
DATA ERROR!
DATA ERROR!
DATA ERROR!
DATA ERROR!
Many of this DATA ERROR!

And later something with the timing

Tomorrow I will do a photo to see what I do and what happens when i pushed the button TEST

Hello uglyface

What PC do you use?
Which operating system?

If your KKL interface detected in the control panel without errors?

Some USB chips need this driver

Can a try if it works so

Thank you i will try it, but not now because is to late :) Tomorrow will tell if it works or not. Do i need to change something on that picture or to leave it that way. This is not my settings is randomly picture from the net.

Let me take a guess here:

All KKL interfaces stopped working, except for the blue one with the switch and everyone has to spend 10-20 Euros now to get a new one?

That certainly explains why my Galetto still works for flashing, but not for MES anymore.
