I need a little help:
Is that possible to use VAK KKL usb interface to read codes on Opel Astra 1997 1.6 16V Engine: X16XEL ?
In case of positive, what software to use ?

Thanks.
I do not think that standard VAG COM KKL cable you can be used for all OPEL cars. some modules can work and some cannot work. They have different pins.
Try to find it on a web more info. Some people like the "OP COM" software/interface and some of them like "OP TECH"...
This is original web page from op com: http://www.op-com.hu/
But it is expensive - it is around 400-600€! :o  :o

On eBay you can find it for 40-50$ with cracked software...

first to diagnose the need to have an old Opel OPEL SCANNER interface - one that connects to the driver opel Simtec and has mounted multiplexer that automatically switches between pins.

something like this example:http://www.viaken.pl/sklep.php?lang=pl& ... prodid=241

opel-tech program, vauxcheck, op com, auto scanner opel, can be downloaded from the internet and work at no charge

@thugusher
First of all you DO NOT NEED to cut wire at "J2" connector - PHOTO #2. Forget it!

You just need to put 2 switches:
(1st switch) between pin 7 and pins 1+9+12 (ABS, ELECTRIC POWER STEERING-SERVO, XENON LIGHTS)
(2nd switch) between pin 3 and pin 7 for AIRBAG!

And that is all!
Cheers ;)

I have KKL interface and problem. I can't connect to airbags in Fiat Panda. I connect K line to pin 3 in OBD connector but no airbag unit is not detected. Any ideas?

Does anyone know if there is anyone making these switchable 16 pin connectors so that I can use the engine ecu, abs and airbag by switching around when you want to connect to any of them.

You can find them on eBay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trkpa ... op=2&_sc=1

Just go to www.ebay.co.uk and type multiecuscan and you will get at least 15-20 advertisements...
They are cheap now... Set of 3 adapters is about 19.00 GBP... They used to be 30.00 GBP...

Cheers, ;)

Does anyone know if there is any differece between interfaces based on FT232RL and FT232BL?
I have got FT232RL and it doesn't want to connect with Airbags in Panda
