The PROXI Procedure does not have anything to do with the mileage.
I see lots of people on various forums explaining that the odometer is flashing because mileage is incorrect and that the PROXI alignment will fix the mileage. That is completely wrong.
The flashing odometer indicates that there is an unrecognized module in the car. Every module has its own ID so that when you take an instrument cluster from another car and put it in your car then your car recognizes that it is from another car and activates the flashing of the odometer to show that it has detected a problem. The PROXI procedure forces the car to learn the new module and to start working properly with it.
The mileage can be updated by the "Write Odometer" function. You can find it in the Instrument Cluster/Adjustments. Please note that you can only write a value that is higher than current value on the instrument cluster display.

Connect to the dasboard (Marelli Instrument Panel), then go to Adjustments and execute "Write Odometer". Then enter the new value and confirm.

put my old clocks back in they're not flashing and are displaying over 47k miles now, looks like it's added both the clocks mileage together, i'll not be happy if my car has gained a few k miles :(

Is it definitely displaying miles, or has it dropped back to km?
