Cant connect to Fiat Bravo HGT 147 ECU

Post by mattnunns » 09 Aug 2011, 18:33

Hi All,

I have the stock KKL cable and the fiat 3 pin adapter, I can connect to my ABS fine when I run a scan but cannot see the Bosch Motronic M2.10.4 for the injection side of things. I know you have to have the full version of the software for this ECU, but i thought it would let me "test connect" I cant conect at all.

Has anybody successfully connected to this ECU?

According to the interface page I should be able to connect without shorting any pins or anything like that.

Hi,

Please excuse me if this is a stupid question, but did you connect to the correct diagnostic connector for the engine ECU? The connector for the ECU should be different than the diagnostic connector for the ABS.
Many people are connecting to Bosch M2.10.4 with no problems.
The free version should connect to the module. It will show ISO code and other ECU identification data after successfull connection, and after that should show a message that you need the registered version in order to access this ECU.
