What ECU have my GPunto?

Post by koCO78 » 30 May 2011, 20:34

Hi

I'm trying to figure out what ECU is using my GPunto (2007 130CV 1.9JTD), and I think it could be EDC16C39 BOSCH Bosch (internet search). According to the list of supported vehicles, this ECU is not available for my GPunto, but it is for the Alfa 147 with the same engine (1.9 JTD).

Can use the Alfa 147selecction to use in my Gpunto?
Actually this is the ECU of my car? How to find physically the mounted ECU?

Will the BOSCH EDC16C39 suportted on a future by FES??

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

The EDC16C39 ECU in Grande Punto is not the same as the EDC16C39 ECU in Alfa 147. You cannot use the Alfa 147 selection to connect to GP.

You can use the "Scan" function in Multiecuscan to find exactly what is the ECU in your GP.

And, yes, the GP EDC16C39 will be supported in next version of Multiecuscan which will be released in a few days.

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

Waiting for the next release to check all aspects of this superb piece of software for our FIATs

Well, I use the SCAN function, and this are the results.

AIRBAG:
TRW MY 05 EP PROX -1 ISO CODE EA 07 10 04 DA

BODY:
DELPHI BODY COMPUTER ISO CODE 40 83 23 04 BF

DASBOARD
MARELLI INSTRUMENT PANEL ISO CODE 32 83 20 04 AE

Can Read only CAN INFO, all the others get INCORRECT ISO CODE ..

Hi,

I can see that your interface was connected with an adapter when running the Scan function.
You have to connect the ELM interface without adapter in order to scan for engine ECU.

Well I do as you said, and get this:

ABS:
UNKNOWN/UNSOPPORTED
ISO CODE: EC 07 04 86 52

ELECTRIC STEERING
UKNOWN/UNSUPORTED
ISO CODE: 31 83 9E 8A 31

COMPLETED.

Also, i'm using ELM327 1,4a and know I have detected high latency blinking on the left corner when I try to connect to any option.

Any ideas? (Using a laptop with 1.9Ghz Windows XP SP3)
