Serial-OBDII cable pinout

Post by paskuale » 11 Mar 2011, 16:16

Hello boys,
I have one interface ELM 327 v1.2a USB (chinese clone) in metal box.
I have lost the serial DB9 <-> OBDII cable of interface !
Can anyone give me the pinout of this cable ?
I need to know each DB9 pin what pin represents in OBDII port.
Thanks :)

Yes!

On the Left is the Gendan 16 pin OBD wiring to Canon 9 Pin.
On the Right is the Tekmate 16 pin OBD wiring to Canon 9 Pin.

I have both Gendan & Tekmate cables so recorded the witing of each in this combined chart.

Only difference between them is in the use of a single or double wire to handle the Ground connections.
